Ed Skrein Confirms He Is Playing Ajax In The Deadpool Movie

Remember the good old days when studios made casting announcements? I miss those days. Now we get actors letting things slip during interviews and posting things on Twitter. Yesterday former Game of Thrones and upcoming Transporter star Ed Skrein tweeted out a photo confirming that he will be playing Ajax in the now filming Deadpool movie opposite of Ryan Reynolds.

 

Ajax, created by Joe Kelly and Walter McDaniel, is a character from the Weapon X program named Francis who was altered by Doctor Killebrew to have enhanced strength, intuitive capacity, super speed and agility. His nerves were also removed to dramatically increase his tolerance for pain.

Deadpool is set to be in theaters February 12th, 2016
