Nintendo Are Willing To Receive Votes For Third Party Smash Brothers Suggestions

The other day, Nintendo opened a submission form where fans could make suggestions about new characters Nintendo should include in upcoming Super Smash Bros. DLC. In honesty, I can't even fathom how Nintendo are making use of so many suggestions that no doubt belong to property they don't control.

Surprisingly, that isn't an issue for Nintendo though. Destructoid contacted Nintendo by email and they got this response regarding third party characters:

Thanks for writing to us. I can certainly understand your interest in if third-party characters are eligible for the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. I want to assure you that you are able to submit any video-game character for this ballot. While we are unable to guarantee your suggested character will become a Super Smash Bros. Fighter, rest assured, we do take all feedback into consideration.

We learnt late last week that Xbox Boss Phil Spencer had no problem with fans voting for Banjo in the survey, so I think he would be the safer bet. Also, there has been speculation regarding Rayman for months so perhaps we will see him. Past that? I can't imagine Nintendo would want to fill the game with too many third party choices. We will see though.
