The Pitch: Ben Thomas is having a tough time getting this life on track. He's on the brink of losing his job, being evicted from his apartment, and worst of all, he has no true friends or family to turn to for help. One night, a mysterious package is left at his doorstep. Its contents?…an old wrist watch that grants its wearer the power to stop time. His life is about to change. Drastically!

Tom Spellman writes,

Time Stop is a kick-ass, roller coaster ride that will attack your senses and emotions. The goal for my first comic book project is to write a story that mixes everything I love about my favorite comic book stories. I love comics that rip at your emotions. If the endings of Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba's Daytripper or Jeff Lemire's Sweet Tooth didn't make you cry, than nothing will. I love adventure stories that are smartly written, aka anything Brian K. Vaughan writes. I like flaws in characters and back stories that define who people are. Everyone knows who Rick Grimes his…is there a more flawed hero with a past filled with bad things that happened to him? One step further, I think George should have left Han as the initial shooter…how much more of a flawed badass would he have been?

Issue #1 of time Stop is nearing the end of production. I started a Kickstarter to raise funds to complete the project. Initial production work has began on issue two and I actually have written through issue 7. I know what the ending will be and its wild! I'm not sure how many issues it till take to get there but its sure to be a pleasant trip. Issue #1 of the story introduces Ben, a few other main characters of the story and gives us an idea of the watch's power. Issue two will feature a back story of Ben's family and how things should have been. We will see Ben make his first right from wrong decision since his new power deems him basically unstoppable. Or does it?
