Alan Moore Writes Introduction To Steve Moore's Tales Of Telguuth

telguuthThis is the first piece of work that Alan Moore has written for the 2000AD publications since the end of The Ballad Of Halo Jones. And it is in tribute to one of his best friends, colleagues and inspirations, Steve Moore, who passed away last year.

In March, Rebellion will collect Steve Moore's fantasy series from 2000ADTales Of Telguuth, with Greg Staples, in tribute to the man, along with select episodes of the Future Shocks short story series.

The originator of the Future Shocks format, Moore's work and influence on the weekly anthology is still felt today. Creator of Abslom Daak Dalek Killer for Marvel, Axel Pressbutton for Warrior and being one of the leading lights of the identity of Fortean Times magazine, as well as working on a number of projects with Alan Moore, including the upcoming Bumper Book Of Magic, he also created the first UK comics fanzine and UK comic conventions. As Alan says in his introduction, Steve was also a major figure in Oriental studies, I-Ching scholarship and an authority figure in decadent and gothic literature, before talking through his work in the comics artform, of which this volume is just a small part.

In these often sadistically amusing stories of the dreadful, the perverse and the grotesque we can see one of the most important British comic writers of the last fifty years having the time of his life.

Let's join him. Tales Of Telguuth is published in March.
