Guardians of the Galaxy Gets A Retro Game Makeover
I've seen quite a few pieces of fan art that depict the Guardians of the Galaxy in 8-bit form. It makes sense too, right? Peter Quill is taken by Yondu in 1988 in the film and the movie is steeped in that culture. It would make sense to draw the Guardians in the game capabilities of the time.
Cinefix, on the the other hand, have taken it to another level by doing a whole video dedicated to the idea. The mock-up takes inspiration from Mega-Man among others which lines up just right with when Peter Quill is taken. I like that touch.
The whole thing is packed with cute little details as it runs through some of the film's most iconic scenes. Spoilers abound obviously, but I can't imagine there are too many of you on Bleeding Cool who haven't caught the movie yet.
