DC Essentials Offers Up The Joker #1 By Azzarello And Bermejo For Free

Joker1DC continues the free comic program to promote what they are calling DC Essential stories. Last week it was the first issue of Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee. This week they go to the caped crusaders archenemy with The Joker #1 by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo.

The Joker has been mysteriously released from Arkham Asylum, and he's not too happy about what's happened to his town while he's been away. What follows is a harrowing night of revenge, murder and manic crime, as he brutally takes back his stolen assets from the Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face, Killer Croc, and, of course, the Batman.
