Cartoonist Jeff Pina writes,

My mom, not once, ever said making comics was a stupid idea. In 1993, Dennis Canal took me to my very first San Diego Comic Con. In 1994, Alex Cook gave me my first indy comic, "Scud The Disposable Assassin" #4 and I knew I could make my own comics. In 1995 I created Idiot Pen (later it became "Imaginatives")and Sideways 8 Studios and sold my mini comics at PDHS. In 2005 my sweetie, Tricia convinced me to go for it and start making comics and "Dr. Oblivion's Guide to Teenage Dating" was born. In 2015, Imaginatives and Sideways 8 Studios turn 20 years old, and Dr. Oblivion turns 10… it will also be the first year I'll be exhibiting AT San Diego Comic Con! I'll be in Small Press booth Q6! See you at SDCC!!!

Q6… I'm writing that down now, the Bleeding Cool press team will look forward to seeing you there, Jeff!

Getting a table or a spot at San Diego Comic Con is a hard won thing, with many more in line that ever get in. Indeed having a spot year after year can even be considered a trade-able asset. And yes, folks it does mean that San Diego Comic Con 2015 has now begun.

You may start lining up for Hall H… now!
