Simonson's Star Slammers Collection To Include Signature Plate On First Printing

I remember getting the Marvel Graphic Novels when I was a teenager. They were amazing stories the just seemed a cut above the normal. They were expensive (for the time) but I got each one eagerly. That included a property I had never heard of, Star Slammers. But it was by Walter Simonson, the guy who was doing Thor and Manhunter. It turned out to be one of my favorite stories on 1983.

31 years later… I feel very old… IDW Publishing is collecting the original graphic novel plus the miniseries that followed it into one collection. The Star Slammers: The Complete Collection also includes short stories, covers and pin-ups plus 60 pages of never-before seen work.

And IDW has recently announced that the entire first printing is going to have a bound in signature plate signed by Simonson in his trademark "dinosaur" signature. A great way to get a master artist signature along with an amazing story.

Star Slammers: The Complete Collection hits comic stores in February.
