Here we have a few photos from the Batman 75th Anniversary Stamp ceremony held this morning at the New York Comic Con. The photos were taken by our own Derek Trum and features Ralph Garman, the current writer with Kevin Smith on the Batman '66 crossover with the Green Hornet, hosting the event. Also in attendance were Dan Didio, Jim Lee and Batman himself.

Update – Here is the report from Dimitrios Haritos:

I was able to make it to the USPS and DC Entertainment official unveiling of the Limited-Edition Forever Batman Stamp Series. Hosted by Ralph Garman and the panelists of Jim Cochrane Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of USPS, Greg Breeding Art Director of USPS and the Co-Publishers of DC Comics Dan Didio and Jim Lee.

The panelists discussed the history of Batman and made the official announcement that Batman is in fact a stamp collector, talking about how back in the 1950's issues of Batman had shown a young Bruce Wayne who collected stamps with his father.

After discussing the process of how they decided to make and the design of the stamps which was done by Breeding, They used art from Bob Kane, Curt Swan, Jim Aparo, and Jim Lee. Lee talked about what an honor it was to have his art featured on a stamp and joked about how he would send them as Christmas gifts to everyone.

After the unveiling of the stamps Batman was on hand to pose for photos with the rest of the panelists. They then took some time after the panel to do some press followed by a signing at the USPS booth where they are selling the stamps.
