Uderzo Family Settle Their Differences Over Asterix Legacy

After seven years not speaking to each other (and with a few lawsuits in the middle), a statement has been released stating that the co-creator of Asterix, Albert Uderzo and his wife Ada Uderzo have reconciled with their daughter Sylvie Uderzo, ending a seven-year conflict of legal proceedings.

The announcement followed a ruling today from the Appeal Court of Versailles in a closed-door judgement. It also states that Albert Uderzo was not the victim of those around him "abusing his frailty" as Sylvia had stated earlier.

Sylvie Uderzo and her husband Bernard de Choisy sued after being were dismissed by Asterix's publisher Editions Albert Rene as the managers of Uderzo's estate back in 2007. They were opposed to her father's decision to sell 60% of his stake in the character to the publisher.

Well, in that case, there's only one way this can end.
