Sony Releases Popeye Animation Test With Intro By Genndy Tartakovsky

Director Genndy Tartakovsky (Hotel Transylvania, Star Wars: Clone Wars) is heading up Sony Pictures Animation upcoming CG Popeye movie. In the below video we get to see an animation test he did with Sony that shows Popeye, Olive Oyl, Eugene the Jeep and Bluto on a ship. The voices are temporary and no casting has been announced, but the sincere introduction by Tartakovsky along with the look of the animation makes me think this movie is in very good hands.

Popeye is set to hit theaters in 2015.
