The Return Of One Of Marvel's Earliest Graphic Novels – A Sailor's Story By Sam Glanzman

Once upon a time, there were a line of Marvel Comics graphic novels. Or novellas really. Superheroes, sure, a smattering of Heavy Metal style sorcery, the occasional violent bloodbath and… A Sailor's Story by Sam Glanzman.

It stuck out rather. You might still come across it in a particularly esoteric back issue bins.

Well, the two books Marvel put out thirty years ago are being collected together and republished and republished as A Sailor's Story from Dover Publications.

The new volume will have an introduction by original editor Larry Hama, a foreword by Max Brooks and a new ten page story from Glandman that was never published before.
