JLA artist John Dell tells us,

I noticed the piece missing three days ago, more than likely it was removed at a store signing or a Gulf Coast show within the last year.

I was looking through my Table portfolios with the purpose of removing personal items I had no intention to  sell.

It would have been with a group of pages I pencilled and inked myself, brought solely for show and not to be sold. Anyone who knows me also knows this is an Image I was very fond of and would never knowingly sell.

The pencils were a Gift from John Holdridge, with my inks.

What must've happened, someone may have slipped it out while I was sketching out a commission or signing…and put it under a page they intended to buy.

I rarely if ever double check the art when some one holds up the pages just shake hands, accept the cash and go back to "Work"… so if someone DID take advantage of that situation, they got away with it pretty cleanly.

And I learned a valuable lesson in trust.
