Remembering Rik Mayall In Video Clips

Rik Mayall meant a lot to me, growing up,. He was dangerous, anarchic, a secret you kept from your parents. I got to work with him a couple of time in radio advertising, and each time he brought to much to his work, energy, unpredictability and care. There is no one else who could have delivered a line to sell school meals with quite as much unexpected sexual innuendo as Rick Mayall, "hae you seen my limp lettice?" that was simultaneously so well received by all involved that it passed through without comment.

He was bloody brilliant. Here's a few reasons why.
