The hunt is on for a new director to go into the woods with Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart for a second go round at Snow White and the Huntsman. Deadline reports the shortlist of directors Universal is interested in for the fairy tale sequel include Frank Darabont, Gavin O'Connor and Andy Muschietti.
There are no plot details, but it seems Charlize Theron is unlikely to reprise her role as the evil Queen who was beaten at the end of the first film. Rupert Sanders directed that one, though for obvious and tabloid-y reasons, will not be returning. Deadline says a decision should be made soon as Hemsworth has a tight schedule with Avengers: Age of Ultron and all, and Universal wants this ready for a 2016 release.
