HBO And BBC Co-Producing Miniseries Based On JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy

casual-vacancy So it looks like JK Rowling was wrong after all about her first non-Harry Potter novel, The Casual Vacancy, not being a very filmable book.

Actually, it’s so filmable that HBO and BBC both want in on it, and will be co-producing a 3 episode miniseries adaptation, which will begin filming this summer. Sarah Phelps adapted it, and it will be directed by Jonny Campbell.
