John Malkovich Is Blackbeard And More In First Images From NBC’s Crossbones

American TV schedules appear to be somewhat shaken up this year, with a lot more interesting work starting in the spring and summer. NBC’s Crossbones is to play out on NBC over the middle of the year, kicking off on May 30th.

Here’s a series of cast pictures, which I found at Up and Comers. There’s John Malkovich as Blackbeard, and that alone will have me tuning in, but there’s also Richard Coyle, one of Bleeding Cool’s favourites. Oh, and Clare Foy, an alum of Oxford Drama School, right here in my stomping ground.

Malkovich seems to be having fun. Again.

Crossbones was created by Neil Cross, the man behind Luther and a cracking, but as yet unfilmed, screenplay adaptation of The Day of the Triffids. I think it’s got a good chance of being appointment-to-view stuff.
