New Trailer For The Live Action Patlabor Movie Seems True To The Anime Original

The Patlabor series of animated shows and movies was always about the crew working with and around the Labors, as much as the mechs themselves. It was very much about working people, working jobs, from the in-the-field law enforcement officers to the crew who maintain and tend to their tech.

This trailer for the live action version demonstrates once again that not much has changed on that front.

There’s a whole series of live action Patlabor coming, with a number of shorts leading up to a feature length finale. So far, we’ve got no idea how the series will be distributed in the West but I’d bet on a Blu-ray launch in the US at least.
