Ordinary Heroes Goes Kickstarter

Ordinary Heroes Team writes for Bleeding Cool:

OH1"They saw a couple of guys, that were up to no good, and started making trouble in their neighborhood.  Their neighbor Ken got in one little fight, and then they both got scared.  They said…"  Wait, that's also the theme song to the Fresh Prince isn't it?

Hello there, oh glorious readers and consumers of Bleeding Cool!  Let me just start off by telling you just why the Ordinary Heroes comic is BLEEDING Fucking COOL.  First off, there's BLEEDING…at least 14 panels in the first issue alone!  Then comes the COOL parts…  The creators had this amazing and original idea for a comic book.  However, lacking the necessary artistic skills, the creators had the novel idea to act out each and every scene in the comic and then post-process it through Photoshop to give it the look of a modern day comic book.  Aside from the lack of artistic ability, the creators also were poor and therefore needed help publishing the comic.  Lucky for them, Kickstarter exists!

After working so hard building their Kickstarter page, they are ready to accept any money you wish to give them.  Not only will the upcoming Kickstarter feature the comic book itself, it will also be featuring a hard-rocking Ordinary Heroes theme song written and performed by the creators, as well as a PC RPG game made by the creators.  Did we mention one of the big heroes is a wheelchair-bound paraplegic?  If all that shit above ain't fucking cool, then you Sir or Madame are on the wrong site.

Ah, and how about something special for the Bleeding Cool crowd on the Kickstarter, eh?  After much and super lengthy deliberation amongst the two creators (about 3 minutes we'd figure),  we have come to the conclusion to give each and every $10 and up Kickstarter backer a Unique-to-Bleeding-Cool Ordinary Heroes postcard.  When you go to make your pledge, just put in the notes that you are from Bleeding Cool and we'll be sure to add the postcard to your order.  What will be on it?  Fuck, we have no clue yet!  We haven't had a chance to discuss it and, as of writing this, the Kickstarter isn't even live yet!  But we'll be sure that it's quite special for you lil' rapscallions and make sure it has plenty of the Bleeding and plenty of the Cool, ya heard me?

The Not So Ordinary Process:

A very unique comic book created by Barry Corman and Derrick Miles, Ordinary Heroes follows the rather ordinary lives of two close friends that find themselves thrust into the world of crime-fighting.  They are forced into action when they come to the aid of their delusional (and possibly insane) wheelchair-bound neighbor Ken who they find masquerading as a costumed vigilante.  Did we mention his sudden ability to walk?  Come see how this rag-tag group of ordinary Joes find the ability and courage to stand up to the city's most ruthless and dangerous criminals.

Seriously though, what kind of Kickstarter gives you a signed debut issue, a theme song, and a PC RPG game all for the measly sum of $10?  The Ordinary Heroes is that comic, and it's gonna be freakin awesome!  So come join in on the fun.  Like the Facebook page, back the Kickstarter, and see just where the dark and twisted minds of its two creators will take the comic and it's characters.

Check out the preview for our Kickstarter, which will go Live on January 17th!
