Sam Neill’s Jurassic World Status Goes From Undeclared To Absent‏

sam neill jurassic park Just in case you were holding on for a Sam Neill cameo in the upcoming Jurassic World, it’s looking pretty unlikely.

The Jurassic World fansite pulled a quote from Neill’s recent interview with Examiner, and the actor seems to have taken himself out of the frame for a role in a pretty conclusive fashion:

I think there’s a whole new cast and a whole new look at things, and I think that’s great. As I said, I’d never say no, but I wish them… well, I’m sure it’s going to be great, but they don’t need me.

Anyway, that’s Sam Neill. Now what about Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Joseph Mazello, Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Richards or Jeff Goldblum? Will the original’s die-hard fans get what they want?

Colin Trevorrow’s seqboot to the Jurassic Park series is due in cinemas on June 12th next year.
