First Teaser Trailer For Live Action Patlabor: The Next Generation Movie

I’m not entirely clear on the plans for Mamoru Oshii‘s live action sequel to the Patlabor anime, but it seems from this trailer that something is being released in 2015.

I think – I think – that’s the actual, full-length feature film, though a series of live action shorts are set to roll out in Japanese cinemas across 2014. I think. I wish I were sure. Perhaps somebody can read the final title card on this promo for me.

Well, that’s full of promise. The practical mech and the CG mech don’t match, exactly, but I’m glad that both techniques will come into play, hopefully where each is best suited.
