First Look At Daniel Radcliffe As Igor In New Frankenstein From Sherlock And Chronicle Creators

daniel-radcliffe-in-frankenstein Daniel Radcliffe gets a makeover and apparently so does classic screen sidekick Igor in the first set photo from Fox’s new version of Frankenstein, unveiled by Ace Showbiz.

Prim and proper suit, shaggy but neat hair, and no hunchback. Well, I suppose he could always acquire that later. Radcliffe’s Igor is the lab assistant of James McAvoy’s Dr. Victor Frankenstein in this new film written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and currently being directed by Paul McGuigan (Sherlock). Meanwhile, Jessica Brown-Findlay plays the female lead and Igor’s love interest, a circus performer named Lorelai.

So this is definitely not a straight adaptation of Mary Shelley’s original novel and it seems pretty different from the Universal silent era of Frankenstein monster movies, so I guess we’ve got ourselves another “new take” on a classic. Well, it is the cool thing to do these days.
