Watch: A Full Comedy Sequence From Disney’s Frozen

Here’s In Summer, Olaf the Snowman’s song from Frozen. It was when I saw this back in the summer, ironically enough, that I “got” the point of this Snowman guy.

In Summer was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Bobby Lopez, alums of In Transit, Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon. It’s being performed by Mormon‘s Josh Gad.

Pretty much every Disney musical affords itself one heavily stylised fantasy sequence number. They’re often a high point, for all of the imagination and invention they can contain. I think this one works particularly well, though, because it’s a great riff on this one character and his skew-whiff POV.
