Comics Take Over TV In 2014/2015 – Thursday Trending Topics

New Agents Of SHIELD TV Spot – Mystery Hologram Man Does Myterious ThingsBarely a week goes by these days without another announcement of a DC property heading to TV (iZombie and Hourman being the latest).  Marvel looks poised to expand on the SHIELD beachhead with its Netflix announcement yesterday, with hints of more to come.  There are increasingly frequent announcements and rumors about properties at Image, IDW, Boom, Dark Horse, Avatar, and others.  Now, not everything in development will make it to the screen, but it does look like we're entering a golden age of comic book television.

Jackson as a TV news show host – in so much as these things are news, I'm not sure the US actually has much news TV anymore outside of PBS, does it? – and footage of Robocop-style drones on patrol in the Middle East.
