Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – Batman Beats Infinity Beats Walking Dead

BM_Cv24_ytiv9l77ta_This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

There was no consensus here, Batman's buzz cut, Infinity's turning the tide and Walking Dead's all out war fought for the top spot across the various contributory stores, but the Bat nudged ahead…

  1. Batman #24
  2. Infinity #4
  3. Walking Dead #115
  4. X-Men #6
  5. Superman/Wonder Woman #1
  6. Forever Evil Arkham War 1
  7. Batgirl #24
  8. Nightwing #24
  9. Green Lantern Corps #24
  10. Deadpool #18

Thanks to the following retailers for their numbers and comments below…

Weird pattern this week with many going to NYCC, even at 6.99 Batman, as always, rules the roost. Lots of interest in earlier Avengers issues with the build in Infinity. Walking Dead and Afterlife with Archie both did VERY well this week! I really under ordered Afterlife.

Afterlife with Archie #1 was an incredible event–lots of excitement over this book, and it outsold Walking Dead #115 (all covers) by 25% in the first day and by 15% in the first five days.
Nothing was close to Batman this week, not even The Walking Dead.

Walking Dead #115 was the big seller this week. No surprise here. Superman/Wonder Woman #1 performed better than expected. Batman slipped, but i think people are waiting to pay day because of the $6.99 cover price.

It's all about Todd for the back-issues this week. People are getting hyped to see what it will look like on the small screen since it plays so well on paper. I also moved a lot of older books since the local comic-con was so over priced i picked up a lot of spill over.

Our sales are so far staying at the same level as last month even with out 3D covers. Which is great and unexpected. Forever Evil Arkham War 1 sold out in two days here. Walking Dead is still very popular. Not as crazy as the issue 100 multiple cover Walking Dead madness though still bringing in buyers. $6.99 for a comic? Not a problem for Batman. Batgirl 24 for the first time in quite awhile sold out in two days.

People are trying to hunt down the 3D Villains covers from last month that they have decided they wanted after all or could not get elsewhere. Even the regular covers for Villains month are seeing some demand. Jim Lee X Men issues are picking up even more steam. Carnage fans are coming out of the woodwork snapping up various Carnage related material.

Walking Dead #115 was the boss this week, but only because of the people buying all 13 covers. The midnight release was primarily a bust, but late requests for full sets cleaned me out quickly.
