Images: Mysterious Forces Amass In Stockholm For Agents Of SHIELD, Pascale Armand Joins Cast

We’re less than two weeks away from Agents of SHIELD taking its bow, with the premiere set to screen in the US on the 24th and the UK on the 27th.

To give you some idea of how far ahead of transmission the show is being shot, production has been taking place on the fourth episode just this weekend.

And as we’d previously heard, this has meant a trip to Stockholm. Thanks to Moviezine, who originally reported the “field trip” news in the first place, we now have some idea of what this episode will entail.

For “some idea” read “a bunch of super-clear pictures.” Here’s a selection of their snaps.

The actress in the final shot, says the Moviezine report, is Pascale Armand. She’s not got a huge TV or film resume but does have great track record in theatre. This includes – and here’s great bit of genre TV trivia – initiating the role of Jekesai in the play The Convert, written by The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira.

I can’t even speculate as to what the masked guys are about, but they do remind me of a music video one of my students once made for an assignment. I’m sure I’ll get over that as soon as I see them in context, though, and find out what the heck they’re up to, why they all have briefcases on their wrists and what the agents of SHIELD are going to do about it.

The pilot episode of SHIELD drew on some pretty minor Marvel lore to come up with one the major characters so I wouldn’t be surprised if this one does too. If you recognise the masked man from the top left corner of some mostly overlooked panel someplace, please do be sure to tell me.

UPDATE: And already, WedSmasher in the forum has put forward a simple, but immediately compelling case. It’s very probably Ultimatium, Flag Smasher’s terrorist group.
