Shaun Demumbrun writes;

I'm in the process of putting together another of my "Stories Inspired by the Songs of" books.

This time we are building up to a full color hardcover book that includes not only short 4-8 pages stories but also a pinup gallery.

We are exploring the songs of Nine Inch Nails.

When I started thinking about what band I wanted to work on after finishing last year's Pixies book, Trent Reznor had said he was going back into the studio to record a few more songs to add to a greatest hits album that he owed his former label.  Earlier this year, as I was starting to recruit comic book creators for Nothing Can Stop Me Now: Stories Inspired by the Songs of Nine Inch Nails  Trent announced that he and the touring band would be going on tour and later that they would be supporting a new full album release.

After Phoenix Comicon  I approached one of Avatar's guests Caanan White  Über) about doing a pinup for the book.  He jumped at the chance at the exact time that the first single from Nine Inch Nail's new album Hesitation Marks "Came Back Haunted" was released.  Dave Beaty (Justice League of America, Grifter) inked and Bill Farmer (Dream Police, Artifacts) colored the pinup.

With the album's release this week, I wanted to show everyone the pinup inspired by "Came Back Haunted" and give them a taste of things to come.  I'm still working with creators to get the stories and pinups together for the book.  We are going to do a Kickstarter only distribution of the book with a campaign to begin in January.  We are working toward a publishing date of May 17, 2014 in time for Trent's 49th birthday and prior to the 25th Anniversary of Pretty Hate Machine.
