New Terminator Movie Gets Thor 2 And Game Of Thrones’ Alan Taylor As Director

I’m not a well man, I’m afraid, so while I have a lot of posts I want to make tonight, I’ll be keeping them pretty close “Just the facts, ma’am.”

According to Variety, Alan Taylor is set to direct the new Terminator film. He’s famously worked on Game of Thrones and his debut feature, Thor: The Dark World is due to unspool this October.

This new Terminator picture is said to have been conceived as the start of a standalone series, though what that means when Arnold Schwarzenegger is apparently in the cast is a mystery to me. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some parallel timeline hijinks going on, or at least some nods in that direction.

The script was co-written by Patrick Lussier and Laeta Kalogridis, responsible for Drive Angry and Shutter Island respectively.
