A Comic Shop – To Infinity And Beyond (UPDATE)

Aaron Haaland writes;

Hey Fandom! This is another one of those, "we live in a golden age of comics" weeks for me. First we have a damn good Hickman Marvel event in INFINITY, then we have three of my favorite creator owned Image books, and more Trinity War and GLC from DC!

Infinity #1 was epic in scope. Hickman has been building this from the very start of his Marvel Now Avengers work, much like how John's Blackest Night grew from Sinestro Corps War onward. I could talk of Thanos' heralds and generals and how awesome Blackbolt was, but I don't want to spoil your enjoyment of this 60 page blowout. Our Marvel Party for this release includes a trivia contest where all who enter get the book FREE! That's how behind this I am.

SAGA #13 is finally out, and worth the wait as far as I'm concerned. It feels good to sell it with the Eisner for best new series blurb on it! East of West #5 was Hickman's message. Walking Dead's war is on. Ghosted #2 is Oceans 11 meets paranormal activity. Harbinger #15 is a downtime issue like the old New Titans day in the life, or X-Men baseball, of JLI Aliens night out- until it punches you in the gut! Red Sonja is the book Simone was born to write. And X-Flies season ten makes up for the movies.

DC's Trinity War is red meat for Justice League fans, leading into the first line crossover of the New 52! The Crime Syndicate is coming, but it's still just my speculation that Outsider is Owlman's Alfred! Batman Zero Year continues to enrich Bruce's pre-bat origin. Constantine is no Hellblazer, but I still am really enjoying it. I wish I could have both a Vertigo and a New 52 Constantine at the same time, but I wouldn't want to give this version up now. And GLC continues John Stewart as leading man. I'm digging both the characterization of the Earth lanterns in this new run and the overall plot of lights out, Relic, and the steam lantern Lightsmiths.

And… a bonus Infinity video!
