Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida writes;

Hey Fandom! I'm Aaron, and I'm talking about New Comics Now! This week had two books I'm in love with; Red Lanterns #22 and Collider #1. Plenty of other great books came out too, pick one that sounds right for you and enjoy!

Charles Soule and Guy Gardner saved Red Lanterns! Last issue he nailed Gardner's character, this one he addressed all my complaints about the book and Ysmault as the setting. This is the most improved title DC has right now. My man crush on Soule is at Guy Gardner levels! Pandora #2 is a Trinity War tie-in, and it's good, but doesn't really feel needed for the overall TW story. Sure that's why it's a Tie-in and not part 4 of Trinity War, and it does have so clues as to what Pandora did to Superman. If you're really into Trinity War get it, if not pass. Batman Inc. #13 is Morrison's epic finale, and the bat eats his own wing! Also, DC had a slew of annuals out this week that you'll enjoy if you're reading those regular titles. They all are written by the series writers and they all build on the ongoing to various degrees.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy #5 featured Angela and
Neil Gaiman as a "consultant", but what it really did was bridge Age of Ultron to Infinity in some cool ways. Wood's X-Men #3 ended his first arc and set the tone of what to expect from his book. It's Claremont-esque in trappings, but modern and full of Wood's voice for character.

My second favorite book this week is Vertigo's Collider #1. This is the first of Vertigo's new Defy push rebranding themselves for tomorrow! (Sure Wake came out, but that was Synder and before the DEFY stuff). The laws of physics start to break, we have a Federal Bureau of Physics, and a strange man named Adam. This defies genre, but was an offbeat weird science book in the wheelhouse of Fringe or an Ellis or Hickman title. Defy yourself and try it! Next Testament #3 continued to wow me. I'm engrossed in Wick's worldview and will follow this title religiously. Invincible and Infinite Vacation came out in collections, but I'm done typing, please check out the video!
