International Trailer For Insidious 2 Is Filled With Familiar Tropes

There’s a lot about this trailer for Insidious: Chapter 2 that feels very familiar, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The same horror tropes appear in a number of excellent films, it’s what a director does with them and how well he executes them that matters.

My favourite part about that trailer is the shot of him running towards the house. Nothing too startling but it was surprising enough for me to rewind and watch it again. It’s also rather reminiscent of another film but I can’t put my finger on which film. Any Little Bleeders know?

Insidious: Chapter 2 will be released in the UK and America on the 13th of September. As the trailer so proudly declared, that’s a Friday.
