Star Wars Rebels Logo And Concept Art Revealed At Star Wars Celebration Europe UPDATED With More Concept Art

REB_IA_220_L

Dave Filoni shared these images from the upcoming series Star Wars Rebels with the crowds at Celebration and now they’re online too. Read my liveblog of the panel here.

The images are really quite impressive and you can clearly see the influence of Ralph McQuarrie, who Filoni constantly made reference to during the panel. In order to make Rebels they even created digital brushes to directly emulate McQuarrie’s work.

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Episode III and IV and it’s clear that Filoni and co. were very happy to be returning to some of the iconic imagery from the first three Star Wars films. The second of the pictures below depicts The Ghost, a new ship that’ll will be seeing in Star Wars Rebels. Filoni described it as a cross between a B-17 and the Millennium Falcon and that it was very much a “home” in the series. From what Filoni said it sounded very much like this ship was very central to the series.

UPDATE: I’ve added more concept art below the high res images. These were all taken during the panel with Dave Filoni and include a Star Destroyer and a Stormtrooper and much more.
