San Diego Trending: The Top 25 Posts Of Comic Con Week

batman-superman-logoThat's another San Diego Comic Con in the books.  It's cliche at this point to note that many (but certainly, not all) comic publishers  are staying out of the way of the Hollywood announcements by keeping a relatively low-profile with actual comic announcements, but that seems to matter less to fans now that there's such a high volume of comic book movies.

That aside (and the ever-popular cosplay posts aside), it's interesting to note that Batman-Superman tops the list this year, and that the Bishop reveal for X-Men: Days Of Future Past was way up there too.  Surprise/new-info film announcements definitely separated themselves from stuff that we largely knew was coming this time around.

Justin Jordan was the subject of the top pure-comic post of the week, coming in at #9 on the list.

I did some tag-level tracking this year too, to get a better handle on the big picture for the week, and we'll take a look at that later.  For now, here's the top-25 most-read stories of San Diego Comic Con 2013:

World Of Warcraft Footage Premiered At Comic-Con And It Was Pretty Impressive

Legendary's Thomas Tull has just premiered some footage from World of Warcraft at Comic-Con. It was a scene, depicting a fight between a human and an Orc in the barrens. Patrick Dane identified a few of the very Warcraft-y details – the Alliance Sigil on a shield, for one thing, and some other bits of build and design.

According to Warner Bros'. official press release, production on their Batman-Superman film will start next year. The story is by Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer, with Goyer soon moving on to write the script.
