If anyone is travelling from Stockton to the Image Expo in San Francisco today, please get in touch, I have a reporter planning to hit the show, who is now stranded…

The San Franciscan Bay Area Rapid Transit public transport system is currently suffering crippling strikes, which has also had the side effect of filling the roads with traffic, so no matter how you travel to the Image Expo today, it might be problematic. The show is sold out, but as Image reports on its Facebook page;

Image Expo attendees: Due to the BART strike, you will need to plan for traffic delays and parking congestion. Carpool if you can!

Indeed. The news reports;

BART's unions are asking for a 4.5 percent raise every year for three years, along with stricter safety standards for workers and passengers. BART says it's offering workers a 2 percent pay raise every year over the next four years, along with a reduction in the expected increase in health care costs. The unions say BART's latest proposed increase is based on unrealistic projections and actually amounts to $1 a year
