New World’s End Promo Profiles Director Edgar Wright

When Spaced landed on Channel 4 in 1999, it made a stars of Simon Pegg, Jessica Hynes, Nick Frost and, remarkably for behind the scenes talent on a sitcom, director Edgar Wright.

When Wright later delivered Shaun of the Dead it was obvious that Britain had a proper, gets-named-in-the-pub, could-be-a-guest-on-a-chatshow director. Though…. having said that… I don’t remember him being on a chatshow, actually. Lost opportunity.

So, okay, we know this chap’s name and he’s got a fanclub of the likes we rarely see in Blighty, but what’s so special about Edgar Wright anyway?

In this video, his collaborators try to give you some idea.

We should be able to taste the proof in the pudding when The World’s End opens across the UK on July 19th and then in the US on August 23rd.
