Seth Rogen Updates Me On The Interview, His Assassination Plot Comedy With James Franco

This Is The End will finally roll into UK cinemas on Friday. If you read Michael Moran’s review of the film yesterday, you’ll know that he found it very funny indeed, and I’ll tell you now that I did too.

If you stick around, tomorrow I’ll be sharing my full interview with Evan Goldberg, the film’s co-writer and co-director, and Seth Rogen, its co-writer, co-director and star.

But here’s an early excerpt from the very end of our chat. I was asking about The Interview, Rogen and Goldberg’s next film. It’s a comedy about a US chat show host caught up in a plot to assassinate the Supreme Leader of North Korea.

Last we heard, James Franco hadn’t been made an official offer, but was in the frame to play the TV host. Had he signed on? Is the film going ahead? When?

Here’s Rogen and Goldberg’s update.

I’m glad he said yes. I can only imagine they tailored the role to suit him and I’m definitely curious to see what he does with it.
