First Trailer For The Anna Nicole Smith Biopic By American Psycho’s Mary Harron

It’s actually not much of a bunny hop from Mary Harron‘s The Notorious Bettie Page to her new project, chronicling the life and times of Anna Nicole Smith. There’s certainly some interesting imagery in this trailer, too – more than I’ve ever seen on The Lifetime Channel under any other circumstances

Smith is being played by Agnes Bruckner and a few pounds of prosthetics. Martin Landau plays her husband, J. Howard Marshall, over sixty years her senior. I’m doubtful about the levels of time, money and freedom Harron might have had to make this film, but I’m still curious and feeling optimistic.
