This reel for The Edinburgh International Film Festival is bound to be the only place you’ll see Monsters University cut next to skinhead socio-drama My Dog Killer all summer long.

While I haven’t gotten myself intimate with the Edinburgh program yet, just from that preview you can see the sheer variety on show.

I will recommend – as always – that you don’t just go for the big shows. If you can be in town for the fest make sure you carve out time to see some of the smaller films playing. There are bound to be some real gems hidden away in there, as there always is at a festival of this size.
