David Lynch’s Duran Duran Movie Screening At Cannes – But You Can Watch Most Of It Now

Back in the spring of 2011, David Lynch directed the live stream of Duran Duran concert. Today, the director’s cut of this film is going to screen in the Cannes marketplace which, all things being equal, will see it snapped up for distribution. Judging from recent concert film releases, I expect we’ll see a limited cinema roll-out followed by a DVD and Blu-ray.

But you can already watch most of it right now, legally, via the Duran Duran Vevo channel on YouTube. And… yes, it’s obviously the work of Mr. Lynch. It’s obviously recent work by him too, with the same kind of effects and images he’s been including in his digital doodles, coffee commercials and music videos.

Get started with the concert here.

Another film in the same series saw Terry Gilliam working with Arcade Fire. I wonder if that’s going to come around again too? It would certainly make me happy if it did.
