Jim Starlin Back At Marvel For… Something

At the Nashville Comic & Horror Festival, Thanos creator, Jim Starlin talked about what he's read about Thanos in the Marvel movies. But according to ComicBook.com, he also stated that

Jim Starlin revealed that he's working on a top secret project for Marvel Comics. While Jim Starlin couldn't reveal the name of the character that he was working on for Marvel, he did provide some hints.

The new project with Marvel apparently came about while coming to an agreement with Marvel over the use of Thanos in various Marvel Studios movies. Jim Starlin will be both writing and penciling the new project, and Tom Brevoort will be the editor.

Starline also told Sequential Highway;

I've currently got a job I've written for Marvel that's in the pipeline, being drawn. But that's about all I can say about that project presently.

Which might back that up. So…. guesses anyone? This is hoiw they left it last time… from Jim Starlin;

"We were finishing off the sixth issue [of Thanos] and I suggested we do a Warlock series. They said, 'No you can't use Warlock, and in fact you can't use him in 'Thanos' anymore because we are pulling him out to do his own thing.' I suggested that they let me do 'his own thing.' They said, no, we're giving it to someone else… I thought about it over the weekend and I called up Monday and said, you know, this is not cutting it. You're pulling this character (Warlock) out of this book that's selling very well. I know you guys do things differently than we did back then, but this is not right. I can't remember which assistant editor it was, but he said, 'Well if you don't like it, you can quit.' And I said, That's a really good idea. And that was the end of it."

And from Tom Brevoort;

I don't hate Jim Starlin. I've had some disagreements with him, and I think he characterizes my then-assistants Andy Schmidt and Marc Sumerak unfairly and wrongly in his recent book, but that's the extent of my complaints.

And from an old Lying In The Gutters;

"At this point in time I do not see myself working for Marvel on any project. Events, that occurred during my last stint on Thanos, make it difficult for me to even consider such a move…

"This is ancient history, as far as I'm concerned. So all I'll say is that my departure from Marvel involved Adam Warlock, who was appearing as a supporting character in Thanos…

"Yes, I was informed I need to apologize for something I did before I again get any work up at Marvel. But I have no idea what I should apologize for, so…

Maybe he found out?
