Breaking Bad Remake Gets Go Ahead - Get Ready For Walter Blanco

fac_capodiegoAfter a little bump in the road before the weekend, Sony have now approved Metastasis, Univision’s remake of Breaking Bad for the Spanish TV market.

I can’t wait to see a trailer for this and see the new Walter in action. And yes, they’re really going to call him Walter Blanco.

According to The Wrap Blanco will be played by Diego Trujillo, while Robert Urbina will play Jose Miguel Roses, previously known as Jesse Pinkman.

We don’t yet know who Sandra Reyes and Julian Arango will be playing, but I’d bet Reyes is the new Skyler. I can’t even guess what they’ll morph that name into, though. Or what they’ll put on the roof instead of a pizza.

Of course, the Walter White who comes knocking these days is somewhat evolved from the one we first met. It’ll be interesting to see if Trujillo and the show’s producers take their version of the character in new directions.
