Allison Williams Set For Shakespeare Redux, In The Running For Fantastic Four

Allison Williams was reportedly cast in Girls after Judd Apatow saw this YouTube video:

That was the spark, but if you’ve seen Girls, you know that she does have enough of the right stuff to keep the flames going.

Now she’s deep into production on season three of that show, Williams is starting to book herself some big screen parts. According to Deadline she’s just now negotiating to make her silver screen debut with the title role in Rosaline, a reversioning of Romeo and Juliet, based on the novel by Rebecca Serle.

If this pans out – and it almost certainly will – Rosaline will probably keep Williams busy for the summer, but there’s another possibility on the cards too: she’s apparently on a wishlist for The Fantastic Four.

For Sue Storm? Well, I don’t know, but I’d have thought so. I doubt very much it’d be Ben Grimm.

I can’t see her fitting in both roles, but at least Williams gives us some idea of how old the movie’s Invisible Woman might be. There was a – quickly dismissed rumour – doing the rounds that suggested the new Fantastic Four would be teenagers. The best guess now, maybe, is that they’ll be in their twenties…?

We’ll see.
