Sylvester Stallone Has Chosen A “New Blood” Director For The Next Expendables

Forget that Mel Gibson question of a couple of weeks back. Dropkick those John Woo rumours. According to his Twitter feed, Sylvester Stallone has chosen a new director for The Expendables 3 and it’s somebody “most” of his followers won’t know.

Here’s the story in Sly tweets, picking up on April 19th when Stallone broke the news that Gibson won’t be involved.

So who might this be? I can’t even start to guess. Tower Block‘s James Nunn and Ronnie Thompson ran through my mind for a moment, but I dismissed the idea pretty much right away.

Or perhaps its Eran Creevy, director of the recent British action picture Welcome to the Punch. He did recently tweet something conspicuous about Stallone.

I don’t know if I’d even call that circumstantial evidence, though. This director is still a mystery, I’d say.

Who could he be talking about?

And will they really have the stuff to make something of the next Expendables picture?
