Will Your Store Destroy Their Copies Of I Love Trouble #5?

IMG130044Four years ago, Image Comics published Phonogram: The Singles Club #5 with the wrong barcode. Retailers were asked to destroy them. Most did. But. even though it was a low selling comic that hadn't bothered the speculation market at that point, the sudden rarity of the original version made it a collectable hot comic. But only those with a specific bar code.

Ridiculous? Yes. But could the same be about to happen again?

Dear Diamond Customer:

Image Comics has announced that a printing error exists in I Love Trouble #5 (FEB130448D), which goes on sale April 24.

Due to the error, the issue's front cover looks black when it should be blue.

Additionally, the error caused a number of interior pages to be printed at a darker level than was intended.

Per Image's request, please destroy any copies of this issue that you receive.

Replacement copies are scheduled to ship with product carrying a May 15 on-sale date.
