The Trailer For RIPD – Ryan Reynolds And Jeff Bridges Are Dead

Despite the Men in Black and Beetlejuice comparisons I see being bandied around, the premise for RIPD reminds me more of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) if it “went all Hollywood.”

Okay… but that trailer was chock full of Men in Black and Beetlejuice. And there was some Frighteners too, principally where Jeff Bridges’ jaw is concerned.

You know, director Robert Schwentke had the perfect opportunity for a Road Runner puff of smoke in this trailer and didn’t give us one.

RIPD is released in the UK on August 30th, in the US on July 19th.
