Dark Knight Producer Planning Web Series About Illusionist Turned Superhero

ian duncanThe names of several superheroes stretch credulity a little, but Dark Knight-producer Michael Uslan‘s new project offers us up a proper gem of the form and no mistake. According to  The Hollywood Reporter, the star of Uslan’s new web series will be an illusionist turned private eye called Stephen Cape.

Or, as the title has it, The Great S. Cape. Take a bow, Mr. Uslan.

Plans are for this serial to be “noirish” and bring back “the chapter-by-chapter Saturday matinee movie serial of old.” I expect this may translate into amazing cliffhangers at the end of all but the last of the thirteen episodes.

Ian Duncan  – pictured above – has been cast as Cape. Apparently he’ll stumble into “the most insidious murder plot in Hollywood” and find himself facing off against “powerful forces.” And like Uslan’s old mucker Batman, Cape will apparently refuse to use guns.

We’ll be able to watch the show online later this year courtesy of Blip.
