Legacy Comics Of Halifax To Be Homeless

Simon Shaw of Legacy Comics in Halifax writes;

For years we've been told by Calderdale Metropolitan Council about the planned redevelopment of The Piece Hall which they applied to the Heritage Lottery fund for a grant. They got the money they requested and we (the retailers) were told we were going to be looked over during the project, advising we were going to be moved around inside the building in a planned "phased build". We were all given choices where we wanted to go and we waited for further news and developments.

Weeks turned to months and we hadn't heard anything further, then a new gentleman was introduced to us offering different ideas towards the rebuild, telling us that we were going to leave the premises and they would give us a monetary pay out as a result and the promise that they would help us relocate within Halifax.

Now we've been given our offer of a pay out that was considerably lower than anyone expected and with no assistance to help any of us relocate!!

Here's a local news report.

Can anyone local suggest any solutions?
