Trailer And Images: Live Action Gatchaman – Or Battle Of The Planets, Where I Come From

The first teaser for the live-action Gatchaman movie has arrived. This is based on an anime that was seriously retooled for the US, not once but twice – first it was Battle of the Planets, then it was G-Force. The most extreme bits of violence, a gender-flipping character and suicide were all edited out in both cases

Yeah, most of that soared right over my head. I guess it’s coming out in Japan on August 24th, though. That was pretty obvious.

Here are the images I could cull from the film’s official site: a collage of the five, visored hero characters, and then an image of the same, all moody on a night-time Gatchaman logo.
