Top Gun, Toon Style – First Clip From Disney’s Planes Shows Off The 80s Cameos, Zippy Action

This is a nicely done little bit of action from Disney’s Planes. It’s going to be a lot of fun in 3D too, particularly for the film’s target audience – ie. people under four feet tall and me.

The voice of Dusty was Dane Cook, and that was Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards, reprising their Top Gun roles. Sort of.

Planes was originally headed straight to DVD. Scenes like the one above seem to cry out for the big screen, however, so I’m glad John Lasseter and co. bumped the pictures status up a notch.
