The Minions Return In A New Trailer For Despicable Me 2

Jessy Williams writes for Bleeding Cool.

Guess who’s back, back again.. it’s those pesky little minions and super-villain Gru, animated alter ego to Steve Carell, in the new trailer for Despicable Me 2.  This time it appears as though Gru has decided to help save the Earth rather than dooming it by stealing the moon.

Whatever happens in this sequel, I hope I find it as hilarious as I did the previous. The minions seem to be as silly as ever and we are, also, introduced to a feisty Agent named Lucy Wild, voiced by Kristen Wiig, and she means business, lipstick taser and all.

With some tough competition coming from Monsters University and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, we’ll have to wait and see what Despicable Me 2 can do in the battle of the 2013 animation sequels when it’s released this July.

Now, while you’re watching the trailer below I challenge you not to bop your head to that annoyingly catchy tune by Eminem, which will probably remain in my head for the rest of the week.
